Today you leave Galilee for Jerusalem via Jordan Valley with a brief stop at Yardenit on the Jordan river. View Qarantal and drive past the rift valley & Jericho -believed to be the oldest city. It is also the place where Jesus stopped on his way to Jerusalem; and cured the blind man during his stay at Zacchaeus' house. Then continue onto Jerusalem. Tour the New city - visit Yad Vashem (Holocast Museum) etc.

This morning visit Bethlehem. It was here that the Angel announced the birth of Jesus to the shepherds. Visit the Church of Nativity - The birth place of Jesus, Manger Square, Crusaders Cloister Grotto of St Jerome and Rachel's tomb. Time to move on to Ein Karem -the city of Judah and birthplace of John the Baptist. Proceed via the Monastery of the Cross to Mt. Zion. Visit the Cenacle - the room of the Last Supper and the tomb of King David. We also visit the Church of St.Peter of Gallicantu which symbolizes Peter's Denial of Jesus as he had prophesied at the Last Supper. Later visit the house of the high priest, Caiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned, (o/n Jerusalem)

We drive to Bethany; the House of Mary and Maratha and Lazarus' tomb and then decend to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the earth. Make a brief stop at a private beach, and take the opportunity to float in the salty buoyant water. Continue onto Qumran Caves where Dead Sea Scrolls were found, (o/n Jerusalem)

Today we ascend the Mt. of Olives. Visit the Church of the Ascension, which commemorates the ascent of Jesus to Heaven, The Peter Noster Church, where lies the cave where Jesus brought his disciples and spoke to them about the mystery of the end. Onto Chapel of Domimius Flevit, where Jesus wept over the imminent destruction of Jerusalem. Visit the garden of Gethsemane where Judas betrayed Jesus to the Romans. Visit the Basilica of the Agony too. Take the via Dolorosa (Way of Grief) traditionally accepted as the last route trodden by Jesus. Follow the 14 stations to Golgotha, the place where Jesus was crucified -marking significant events along the route. You will see the Pilate's Judgement hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation, the Ecce Homo Arch and the convent of the Sisters of Zion. The last 5 stations of the cross are inside the church of the Holy Sepulcher. You will then be transferred to Jaffa (Joppa), to see the house of Simon the Tanner and visit St.Peter's Church. Late evening transfer to the airport for your flight back to Mumbai.
